Jesus gives His followers a striking command in Matthew 5:43-48, telling us to love our enemies. But we cannot love our enemies without first forgiving them. Are you carrying heavy weights that you were never meant to carry? Because there is freedom, healing, redemption, restoration and forgiveness at the foot of the cross! Loving our enemies is far more than just not hating them, but we cannot do that on our own strength for as Jeremiah 17:9 says, our hearts are desperately wicked.
